Who needs this training?
Under SC Code Section 61-3-120(B) (H.3430), all on-premises alcohol servers working 10+ hours per week and their managers must complete state-approved training within 30 days of hire.
How long does the course take?
The course is approximately 4 hours. You can save your progress and complete it in multiple sessions — no need to finish in one sitting.
Is this course approved by the state?
Yes. This course is submitted to and approved by the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) as a recognized training program.
What happens after I complete the course?
You'll take a proctored final exam (30-40 multiple choice questions, 70% to pass). Once you pass, you'll receive your certificate immediately. Your completion is reported to SCDOR.
How long is my certificate valid?
Your certification is valid for 3 years from the date of completion. We'll send you renewal reminders before it expires.
Is the course available in Spanish?
