Arizona DLLC says state law does not require every employee of a licensed establishment to hold a Basic Title 4 certificate. An employer may still require training, and DLLC strongly encourages training for people involved in alcohol sales or service.
Arizona DLLC says owners, agents, and managers who are actively involved in day-to-day operations need a Basic Certificate of Completion plus a Management Certificate of Completion. Basic is the prerequisite for Management.

On-sale training focuses on alcohol consumed at the licensed business. Off-sale training focuses on sealed alcohol sold for consumption somewhere else. The correct course follows the license privileges and the work actually performed.
CertReady's submitted Basic On-Sale and Basic Off-Sale courses are each designed for a 180-minute minimum. Each Management course is designed for a 120-minute minimum after the matching Basic prerequisite. These are active course-time floors in CertReady's submitted design.
The four CertReady Arizona curricula are built with English and Spanish lesson and assessment paths. Public enrollment in either language remains closed during DLLC review.
Arizona DLLC says approved Basic and Management Certificates of Completion are valid for three years from the completion date recorded on the certificate. CertReady cannot issue a qualifying Arizona Title 4 certificate unless and until DLLC approves it as a provider.
