Who needs this course?
New Mexico alcohol server training is required if you sell or serve alcohol at a licensed New Mexico business. You need state-approved training and an alcohol server permit. The rules also cover people who manage, direct or control alcohol sales and, in some cases, delivery drivers. Ask ABC or your employer if you are unsure whether your role is covered.

How long is the training?
Plan on about 4.5 hours for CertReady's New Mexico alcohol server training. New Mexico requires programs to include at least 4.5 classroom hours or the online equivalent. You can pause and pick up where you left off.
How do I pass?

What happens after I pass?
After you pass a New Mexico-approved alcohol server course, your training provider submits your server-permit application to New Mexico ABC. ABC issues the permanent server permit.
How long is my New Mexico server permit valid?
The permanent server permit is valid for three years from the date New Mexico ABC issues it. Keep track of the expiration date printed on your permit.
